It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph "Joey" Zigon, a beloved father, friend, and community member. Joey passed away March 10th, 2025, at the age of 69.
Joey is survived by his cherished children, Michael, Erica, and Shane, whom he shared with his former spouse, Debra, who predeceased him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, including many close friends and loved ones.
A hardworking and skilled plumber, Joey was always quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, especially within the Babylon Village community where he was a familiar and cherished presence. Beyond his craft, Joey was a gifted artist who found joy in painting, sculpting, and playing the harmonica. His creative spirit and love for life shone through in everything he did.
Joey also had a deep connection to the water, enjoying surfing and fishing at some of Long Island’s most beautiful beaches. Whether in his work or his leisure, he was known for his warmth, generosity, and sense of humor. Joey was the kind of person who brought joy and laughter to every room he entered.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and love that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Joey will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire Babylon Village community.
Joseph Zigon is also survived by his loving sibling's: Debbie, April and Patricia( Tyschie) and his favorite meowser: Kitty the cat.
A memorial visitation for Joseph will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Claude R. Boyd/Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 West Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702.
