James J. Dawes, age 64, of Babylon, NY, passed away on July 8, 2023. Loving husband of 38 years to Donna Dawes; beloved father to Kristin and James Dawes; dear brother to the departed Theresa (Neal) Slattery, Kenny (Lorena) Dawes, Donna (Matt) DiPietro, Gary Dawes, and Kathleen Dawes. James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Barbara Dawes. Also survived by many loving extended family members and friends. James was a fun, loving, energetic soul who never failed to make your day a little brighter and never forgot to leave you with the words "keep smiling". Friends and Family may visit on Thursday, July 13, 2023, 7-9 pm & Friday, July 14, 2023, 2-4:30 pm & 7-9:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at St. Joseph's at 9:30 am.
