Hi grandma. I’m just scrolling and reading everyone’s memories about you. I miss you. It still hurts and honestly idk what to do with no grandparents left. I miss everyone so much and it’s not fair. Well, I just wanted to drop by Bc I was thinking about you. I’ll hold you in my heart forever. I’ll always remember you ♥️

It’s been one full year without you here. One full year that you were called home. You have no idea how much you’re missed gram. We had a such a beautiful, sunny, spring day to celebrate you at the mass. It really was beautiful. I know you were there with all of us at the church and cemetery.  You would have been so proud of mom, she made 80 meatballs and they tasted like you made them yourself!!!  I know you’re with me a lot and I know you hear me talking to you all the time. Thank you for helping me get through all the things that have been going on in my life and keeping me strong these past few months. I sometimes think that i wouldn’t  make it through it all without your presence. We still really aren’t coping well without you here. Everyone really misses you, not just us.

My Beautiful Mother... and Amazing Grandmother to Dana-Marie...
It’s almost a year since God has called you home. Our hearts still broken in two... unable to say are final good-bye because of a Pandemic. 
It’s unfair... we never got closure... never got a final kiss or hug. ... never to see your beautiful face again , but in my dreams.
April 6 2020 was the worst day of our lives... til this day I cry when I think of you and when we speak of you.
Since you were not able to have a final good-bye and proper burial , Dana-Marie and I are having a beautiful Mass for you at Saint Cyril Church on Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park NY onMarch 27 at 11:15 am. We are inviting all those who loved you and whom you loved.
We will celebrate your beautiful life together and have the closure we weren’t able to receive because of this Virus.
I expect your spirit to soar over this beautiful Mass and feel all the love you so deserve from your loved ones in our church.. all coming to give you the send off you deserve.

Mom!! I'm thinking about you so much lately.  Mothers day came, we went to see you at the cemetery.  Your birthday came, we went to see you at the cemetery.  Sorry mom, it's just not enough!! I try to talk to you when I go to bed at night, I pray to God to take care of you and hope your with grandma and grandpa and all of our aunts and uncles. I miss you so much.  I just want to pick up the phone to call you just so I can talk to you. Christmas is coming,  and for the first time in my life I'm dreading it cause your not here.  I love and miss you.

Happy Birthday Gram! You would have loved the beautiful flowers we brought you today. I miss you so much. I can’t believe i don’t have you here to celebrate our birthdays together... This will be the first time in my whole life that we won’t be together. I know you’re having a giant birthday party with all you’re loved ones and i know you’re happy. I just miss you so much gram. This is the saddest Mother’s Day. We are usually doing something together. I miss you so much. I was picking out a card for you without even thinking because part of me can’t believe that you’re not here. I want to hear you tickling AJ or telling me “So there!” or “Then there you go” and sticking out your tongue at me with a smile. I want to hear you laugh or see the smile in your eyes. I want to make sure you know how much you are loved and always will be. So many memories and its not close to enough. I am so grateful that God’s plan put you in my life. I know I will see you again and that you are always with us but we really miss you now. Hope you have fun with your Mother today in a warmer happier place, with no fear or sadness and that you feel all of our love.

My heart & prayers goes out to the LaFauci family. Aunt Ida was not just my aunt but also my Godmother. I’ll never forget living in Brooklyn and going to her house every weekend, I was so excited knowing I was going to see everybody but more excited for the breakfast I knew she would prepare. She made THE BEST breakfast you’d ever have. Bacon ,Eggs, & Crispy potatoes. She taught me how to make it but I never could amount to her skills in the kitchen. Her house was always filled with food, family & great times.  I will never forget the love she had for her family and love she made us feel.

Mommy.. today was the hardest day of my life... I cannot let you go... I cannot believe that I can never hold on to you again. What am I supposed to do without you?

I wasn’t lucky enough to have you for my mom, though I love you as much as any daughter could. You don’t typically choose your mother-in-law  before you choose your husband but as we used to joke about, you had me first.  You had a spirit of love and kindness mixed with just enough kick ass attitude to always keep everyone in their place. My place was close to you. You gave me the gift of acceptance and the honor to be there for someone who truly deserved my love and respect.  You have been one of the most important people in my life. You gave your heart fully to those you loved and I will be forever thankful that you counted me among them. I will love you forever and miss you for always.....until we meet again💗💕

I can’t seem to find the words for these times. Instead, I will pay tribute with a few thoughts. There’s so much to remember.

It’s hard to imagine a life without my grams. She has impacted my life more than I could truly imagine.

There’s no love in the world that could match the love she had for her children and her grandchildren.

She had a sense of humor that could lighten a mood, and made a killer Sunday sauce that, as my brother described, could feed a damn army.

We did a lot of cooking, but the recipe is not what she taught me. She taught me the reason for it. It’s an expression of love.

If I’ve ever voluntarily made a meal for you, love was fully present.

Love is something that can’t necessarily be “taught,” or found in a textbook. But instead can be shown, felt, and expressed to any extent.

She loved, hard and often, in everything she did. When she walked into a room you could just feel it.

And if there’s one thing I’ve taken from her, it’s just that.

Also- she taught me how to talk to boys. Always tell them “you can’t jump high enough to kiss my ass.”

I’ll take that to the grave.

I miss you everyday gram. You’re our guardian angel. 

There are  so many wonderful memories of our large Carapella family. Starting back at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Always gathering for holidays and Sunday dinners around that huge kitchen table. My first special memory of Aunt Ida was when our family visited her home in Fort Lauderdale  It was in July I remember because it was coming up on my 10th birthday.  Aunt Ida asked what my favorite color was and I said blue. So of course she made me a big birthday cake with blue icing. I remember feeling so special at that moment. As I grew older I remember the crazy stories all my aunts used to tell when we got together and how we would laugh over and over again. Through the years we always remained close and I will miss her dearly as I miss all my Aunts and my Mom. 
All six sisters are together once again and in my heart in a way, that takes away some of the pain and sorrow of losing my  last caring and wonderful Aunt, IDA!
All my thoughts and prayers are with my La Fauci cousins and all their extended family members at this time of great loss. ❤️🙏🙏


My Mommy... I can’t fathom that I will never be able to hold you again ... talk to you or see you. you were the matriarch of this family... everyone one of us looked up to you respected and loved you unconditionally.  I as your only daughter have a huge hole in my heart.. you were my teacher my leader my rock. 
I can’t seem to believe you are gone from my life... I have some many memories so many conversations... so many I Love Yous....your absence.. is a reality I can’t and don’t want to face... I miss you so much... I know your in a better place ... but the best place for you is here with us...I know it’s selfish ... you deserve to rest n be whole again... but my life ... my heart will never be the same. The emptiness and the reality of not seeing you has left a huge hole  .......I miss you so much. I will always hold you in my thoughts and forever in my heart...If only I had one wish in my life it would to bring you back to see you n hold you again and to never let you go.

I will never forget my Grandma’s  fun and loving personality. We have shared an endless amount of great memories that I will always remember. She loved my brothers and I unconditionally, and always showed it through her words and actions.

Mom. I'm trying to be strong for our family but it's  so hard. I can't  stand to see our family hurt like this. I'm  the oldest  and supposed to be the strong one but we all miss you so much. I wish I was half as strong as you. The only way to see or talk to you is in my head or in my dreams. I knew it would hurt when you went but never imagined it would be this hard for us. I went to sleep early every night this week, thinking, hoping,and praying that I would wake up to find this has been a bad dream, but it is clearly not the case. YOU ARE GONE! and there is nothing I can do to change that.
This unfamiliar pain is unbearable, but I will gladly endure this forever pain to just know that you are Happy, Healthy,and safe, and to know you are in a better place.
Your Family is hurting Mom, and it is so hard since you've been gone, I am crying so much now, but  I was once very strong.

It is said that life is a blink of an eye, I never thought that much about it, until now. We just didn't have enough time together.
I miss the days when you were here to guide me, and those great happy days when you were here beside me.

I have so many memories with my beautiful mother in law for almost 32 years... so many talks we had ... she was always giving me advice which I took being that she raised 5 kids ... I always loved her and respected her  ..:she always treated me like one of her children..: my children loved going to Grandmas house every Sunday ... I couldn’t even get them to leave ! They are so heartbroken and so am I but at the same time  very relieved that she is free of her pain and suffering and will be with her family once again....  Will love and miss her always .....


Sweet gram- there’s no amount of words to explain how much you mean to me and how much i love you. You’ve taught me countless things and we've made tons of memories together, that I’ll never, ever forget. You’re absolutely one of a kind and the heart of this family. I wish we could replace the pain from you leaving, with happiness of knowing that you’re where you want to be, with your parents, brothers and sisters. Nothing could replace you or the unconditional love that you’ve shown me through the years. I always knew that you loved me so much, i always felt it, even if we didn’t spend as much time together in the later years. Your love always exists in me and I’ll carry that with me forever. All i want is for you to be happy, healthy and at peace. ❤️ I love you so much my gram. Please protect me, guide me and keep loving me. I’ll miss you. 

I Knew her as Mrs. LaFauci and remember childhood good times at her house. Always Pasta and Meatballs and plenty of food on the stove. and yes George and me  and the gang Nuzzi, Frank and Richie (RIP) would often eat till we could not eat no more of those Deep Fried Belly Bomber Taco's at Jack in the Box. We often came back to Mrs. Lafauci house to hang out. She would call me Robbie or Honey and offer me food to eat MEATBALLS as stuffed as I was from eating Eight Taco's she insisted I eat I took two Meatballs and she said Oh come on Honey you can eat more than that. I am sorry I ate the eight Tacos cause I would have Eaten Ten Meatballs. And who could forget the Blue claw crabs straight out of the Great South Bay right into the pot. I guess they call this the good old days. So to Mr. LaFauci, Cosmo, George, Joe, Rose and Anthony may she Rest in Peace and may you all find peace knowing she is Resting in  peace. I loved my grandmother more than anything... I remember her sunday sauce and her teaching me how to cook. Her meatballs were the bomb haha. Sleepovers with my cousins at her house. One time me and my brother Joey is tried to scare her when she was sleeping and instead she scared us 😂😂 I’ll never forget all the fun memories we had... I’ll always love her and she will be with me always 🔐 I love you Gram ❤️💕 🌺 

I'm moms oldest. There are so many memories in our 63 yes together. One comes to mind especially.  We went food shopping one night, just me ND her,  we always bought so much food  because  we always had our friends or relatives stop by. We had 2  carts we were in the parking lot and my cart got away from me and hit this car. This guy jumps out and comes after me, WELL, mom jumps in front of me and stops this guy in his tracks. This guy backed right down. UNBELIEVABLE!!. Mom had so much love for everyone.  She could project her love through her eyes without saying a word. It's only been 2 days and she is so missed. I hope she can see how much she is loved and missed. I love you beyond words my beautiful  mother. We will be together forever someday. 

My dear godmother, aunt ida,  my most cherished memory was when i lived in queens. You came to visit me for my birthday, i was around 11. You brought 5 gifts! Yoy said they were from your 5 kids. You also gave me a gift from you.  Years later, i remembered this. I cane to visit and spent the weekend. It wasnt your birthday, but i brought you 5 gifts. You couldnt believe that i remembered that!! We stayed up late and you told me great stories. I will never forget it. Say hi to my mom. Love you.❤

Ida was like my older sister, even though we were cousins. I used to visit Joe & Ida when I was a teenager and on leave from the Navy.  I remember her concern when she learned of a bad accident aboard my ship. She called my commanding officer to find out if I was alright. When    she was able to  talk to me I had to convince her that I was fine. Ida was a very caring person. May she be at peace  with the Lord.

Since I was a child, living on long island I was fortunate enough to have two homes one with my mom and dad and one with aunt Ida and uncle joe, everytime I went to the house she was cooking something, and it was never a dissapointement but my greatest memories was sunday pasta dinners with everybody around the table no matter who walked in they had to eat .. and we never saw the bottom of the bowl or a plate empty .. our hearts were full with love our stomachs filled with food and our ears full of loud conversation... and loud Italian music. My heart breaks knowing that she is gone ..the bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord ... now she gets to cook for Jesus ... and  will truly experience what heaven is . I  will miss you

I’ll never forget the late nights at Grandmas  house playing  cards over cake & donuts Listening to all your  stories of your childhood, accomplishments and advice on how to be a strong woman. I loved watching you two bond and laugh all night, those memories will be cherished and I will never forget you. Your now another angel looking over us and will always be deeply missed.  

I Remember How Many People  were always around Aunt Ida's Table for Dinner..She would  cook for an Army and Loved every minute of it..Always so much Love and Laughter in her Home..Aunt Ida Was such a Loving Person and I will Miss her Dearly..Rest in Peace My Beautiful Aunt...

She was my Aunt Ida...but grandpa called her "Eedoy" , which I assume was Ida in Italian.  She was only 13 when I was born...a beautiful teenage girl.  When I was around 5 and she was around 18 I remember all the boys competing for her attention as she babysat me at Grandma's house...she was always so pretty...  Some of them were in uniform and I remember being so impressed by that.  She eventually married one of those handsome soldiers, my Uncle Joe.  I remember being at her wedding when she had doves seemingly fly out of the cake.  I loved her dearly.  I have many memories but these are the ones that came to mind.  She was my Aunt Ida...she will be missed.  

Ida, we met you over 35 years ago at Dr Nash's office. Little did we know that you were Rose's mom. You were such a sweet person. Rest peacefully and watch over your family

I Thank you with all my heart and soul for being the most amazing mother any girl can have.  Thank you for always making me feel special n loved... in a family of boys... always making sure I was treated like gold. You are the woman I always wanted to be...I looked up to you for all your love and strength ... even as this horrible disease tried taken you from us I watched you fight like hell... I watched u battle to reach inside and take your life and memories back...you did good. Your fought those demons for a while until you couldn’t fight no more. 
We have lost you to this battle... and it hurts the deepest part of my soul not to be able to see you and hold you...but now we have our special angel in Heaven to look over us... and to keep us safe.
You deserve to rest.. to be with your parents.. sisters and brothers n the few nephews you have up in heaven.
