Grace P. Colonico, 68, passed away peacefully on November 11th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the cherished wife of John for 39 years and a devoted mother to Christina and Andre. Grace’s life was defined by love, kindness, and a deep sense of fulfillment through caring for others.
Born on August 6th,1956 in Brooklyn, Grace was a woman of many talents, but none more beloved than her incredible skill in the kitchen. She was famous for her delicious pumpkin loaves and Christmas cookies, which became an annual tradition that many looked forward to. Grace’s passion for baking was only surpassed by her passion for her family and friends.
Grace’s heart was as big as her smile. She found true joy in nurturing those around her, always putting others first. Whether it was hosting family gatherings, offering a listening ear, or simply spending time with loved ones, Grace’s love knew no bounds.
In her free time, Grace was a proud Disney fan and enjoyed the simple pleasures of coloring and spending time with her dogs. She was predeceased by her beloved dog, Sheeba, and is survived by her loyal companion, Shadow.
Grace leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and joy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to North Shore Animal League.
Grace’s memory will forever be a light in the hearts of all who loved her.
A visitation for Grace will be held Friday, November 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 39 N Carll Ave, Babylon, NY 11702.
