Ruest, Elizabeth "Betty", 91, of East Islip, passed away peacefully at her home, on Saturday, October 3, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 2, 1924 to the late Patrick Francis Golden and Anna (Lavin) Golden. Wife of the late Alfred Ruest, Mother of Barbara (Frank) Duerr, Jack (BG) Ruest, and the late James Ruest and the late Briget Ruest. Grandmother of Cherie (Gerard) Burke, Michelle (Richard) Condia, Christina Duerr, Dr. Amber Ruest and David Lee Ruest. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Molly, Sean and James Burke and Sophia Rose Duerr. Sister of Thomas Golden of Florida and the late Mary, Margaret, Anna and Patrick. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon Village, NY on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 2-4:40 and 7-9:30 pm. Funeral Mass Monday, October 12, 2015, 9:45 am at St. Mary's RC Church, East Islip, NY. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
