I sure miss you, Mrs. Killabrew. Losing a parent, relative, and friend, is never easy. However, my faith dictates, you're in a great place. Free from pain, sorrow, and strife!

I'll always remember the time when I told you that you needed a hearing aid and you replied "No....I don't want any ham and eggs!" 

I'll miss preparing your breakfast every morning and fussing about the hot water not being hot enough after boiling for 10 minutes!

But most of all I knew you could walk, even though you had Gwen and Lorraine fooled!

 I am truly blessed to have had you in my life. I hold on to many wonderful memories of when I was a little girl and you welcomed me home from school everyday and made sure I had a snack to eat, and I did my homework. You provided a loving and stable environment for me to grow up in and for that I am forever grateful. I will miss your sweet smile and the tender words you spoke. I love you!!

Grandma K, it feels like yesterday I gave you a hug and saw your amazing smile filled with love. You have always treated and looked at me as one of your own. The wisdom and guidance you give can never be changed. You were always loving and caring and I will never forget who you were. Truly you will be missed I love you and will see you soon!

Dearest Grandma,

   Where to begin, I've only known you for just four years but in that time you have showed me so much love.  I will miss your smile when I come to the house you always welcomed me with so much warmth you always made me feel welcomed.  I have a handful of specials moments ill always keep close to my heart.  The time you first said I love you to me while I was leaving one night,  it was still the beginning of Anthony and I, it was a special moment I'll never forget that.  Or the time you told me about your magical love story at the kitchen table I was memorized by every word and you made me truely Believe in following your heart.  Or even the little things when you would pull the kitchen table out for me to sit. 
You were such a wonderful woman, and you lived such a great life.  I only hope that for all of us.  To marry your bestfriend, build a beauitful family in a house over flowing with memories.  That's what life should be about.
 I'll miss all those stories you have shared with me,  I'll miss giving you a kiss hello and goodbye, ill miss hearing all your superstitious sayings.

Hey Grandma, I honestly don't know where to start but to say " I really miss you and it ain't been the same I drop a tear when I hear your name” you are always Mrs. K “why you gotta be so far away? You used to say "Don't worry, it's gone be ok" But it ain't.  It's like, when you left, you took the Lord with you, why could not I come when he came to get you? Damn, I really miss you "(“I miss you” DMX feat Faith Evans). 

What do I do now when your children don't understand me, and I don't understand them?  You would always cleared things up so we could all be on the same page because you always understood me and what I meant (And then when everyone left you would take my side, like it was you and I against them, and they never understood us or our eating habits lol). I always knew where to find you (in the kitchen, our favorite place), knowing that I could always come to you no matter what, to hear me out, to comfort and calm me down (even teaching me a little Chinese).  I'm glad I got the chance to go to Hawaii with you for my first time, I could not have ask for a better person to enjoy that trip with.  I always told everyone, once they pissed you off, “yall done messed up now” that's when you started that unforgettable hollering.  What I would do to hear you holler again.

I understand how life is not fair how you explained to me several times in the kitchen, but I do not understand why you physically had to leave me so early.   I guess I would never be ready to let you go but what helps me, is knowing how you're in heaven with my mom and your true love, my "pop pop" living a better life, in the best place there could be.  I know you missed him dearly, and could not wait to be back with him, the way he missed you up there in heaven and could not wait for you to come back to him. 

I thank pop pop and mommy for keeping you hear to see me graduate which made me happy.  I'll never forget how beautiful you looked for my graduation party with your bright red tan, and I'm happy you had a great time and was able to share one of the most important days of my life with me.  It showed me that you put pop pop on hold until you had seen both of your grandchildren graduate which meant the world to me.  I'm happy you was able to meet my first child, your Great Grandson Ayden Anthony Killebrew, and Christine, because these two people truly mean the world to me.  They both love you as much as you loved them unconditionally.  I'm glad they were both able to meet you because you are one of the great women in my life! 

I miss you all dearly, mommy, grandma and pop pop, and can't stand to think about how you guys are not here with me on this life long journey.  I pray and talk to you guys every night, hoping you hear my prayers to not only watch over Ayden and I, but our entire family that's scattered all over the world.  Continue to give me the strength I need to overcome these obstacles that god keeps challenging me with, and I promise to make you all proud.  I truly believe that God does give his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers, which is why I am still standing today.  I just wanted to say a few things but like always, we will talk later tonight before I go to bed.  Don't worry, your “pretty boy” tigger is well fed (when he wants to eat) and well taken care of as well as your great grandson.  I will make sure I give him the health treatments you gave me, with tons of band aids, Neosporin, Tiger Balm, Florida water and ammonia when needed.  I'll make sure he gets lots of naps, readings before he goes out to play, and I'll keep reminding him to chew his food a million times.  I'll do the best I can to keep things together for all of us.  

As I saw your hard working hands at rest, to me you did your job which was better than the rest, God broke my broken heart even more, once again to prove to me that he only takes the best!  I love you, miss you, and will never forget you because you will always live in my heart.

I will miss your laughter, patience, resilience, strength, kindness, thoughtfulness, wisdom and brutal honesty.  

Your life was truly an inspiration to me and I thank you for being an amazing, extraordinary Mother.

Dearest Mom,
Words can not describe the sadness I feel in my heart, but I will always remember and cherish all the special memories that I hold dear.  These are a few of those cherished memories:
- How you helped me raise Wes; feeding, babysitting and taking him to all of his games and practices when I was working and couldn't make them
- The great time we had celebrating your 50th Wedding Anniversary in Las Vegas with all of your family and friends.  But most of all, how you forgot your dress and we got up early that day, went shopping and found the perfect outfit to celebrate your special day!
- I will always remember the wonderful trips we took to Hawaii visiting family 
- Having fun playing card games to help keep your memory sharp (but I think we needed it more than you!)
- Seeing you enjoy yourself at the casinos (Dragon Lady)
- Going out on our little ventures to get our nails done together....it was fun and I thought you enjoyed it as much as I did.  Then when you were unable to get there, I started doing your manicures and pedicures for you.  You gave me a hard time, but your nails looked real pretty when I was done!

You were a very strong and determined woman with everything you had to endure given your hip surgery and the ulcers that developed on your heels.  I only wish I could have taken that pain away from you.  I am so glad Gwen and I decided to take you out of the nursing home and nurse you back to good health ourselves.

I admired how much you loved and worried about your grandsons and then even your great-grandson.  I know I'll get a better understanding once I become a grandmother myself. (Hurry up Wes!)

You were such a devoted and loving Mom, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother that words could not express how much you will be missed!
