Debra Lynn Becker

Debra Lynn Becker, age 64, of Bay Shore, New York passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Stephen Becker. Loving Mom of Maria Barry & husband John Barry (with her first granddaughter due next month, Brooke Barry); & Stephen Becker Jr. Caring sister of John Vizzi, Steve Vizzi, Valerie Carro & Rick Vizzi. Dear sister-in-law of Kathy Cotton, Marilyn Ryan, Thomas Becker & George Becker. Debra was an amazing woman, she was strong, beautiful, selfless, and determined. She grew up in West Islip and met her husband, Steven in High School at the age of 14, they were high school sweethearts. Debra went on to become a Speech Pathologist after working for a few years in sales, which she was very passionate about. She worked with children born with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, which took an extreme amount of patience, which her daughter Maria always told her she wish she had. Debra retired this past June and definitely made the most of this past year. She traveled at least once a month and spent so much time with people she loved. Debra was an amazing cook and loved taking cooking classes both here in Babylon and on all the vacations she took. She gave her whole heart into everything she did and was a role model to many. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Debra will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Thursday, June 8, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 9 N Clinton Ave, Bay Shore, New York 11706. An interment will occur Friday, June 9, 2023, at 12:15 PM at St Charles Cemetery, 2010 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
