I had Ms Kalinowski for kindergarten and two years later my little sister also had her. During the COVID pandemic, she used to stop at my house to drop of school work/supplies. I remember her coming to my home to take pictures for graduation day being that school was held virtually.  She was an amazing teacher and she will definitely be missed.

She taught my son Michael when he was in Tooker Ave. many years ago and inspired him greatly to be pursue his dreams  and today he is a doctor after her warm and nurturing  and caring teaching. -- I am so sad to hear this news and participated in the go fund me cause hoping desperately that it would bring Barbara and good news back home. Barbara was one of my very best friends in the Karen St. Neighborhood.  She lived directly across from me. We had fun with acting out plays in her basement, swimming in my pool all summer& too many memories to list. My heartfelt condolences to her loved ones, she will be deeply missed. 	From the moment we met at Tooker Avenue, I knew we would be friends until the end. Unfortunately, your life was cut tragically short. I will forever miss being the dynamic duo teaching Kindergarten, getting through the Pandemic, and helping each other in good and bad times. You, Sandra, Carol, and I made a fantastic team.
	The laughs we’ve shared over the years will bring joy to my broken heart. We even laughed our way through 2020 when we rocked it as teachers who had to think outside the box during a world crisis. You had my back when I needed it most, and I will never forget what you did to help me care for my mother after my father tragically passed away; friends like you are priceless. Your warm, caring heart, genuine kindness emanating from your soul, and brilliant smile that welcomed everyone with ease will be missed by everyone who knew you, including the infamous Mr. Pickle.
	For years, you helped run the Parents as Reading Partners program at Tooker. It was a lot of work, but you found satisfaction in making it memorable for the kids. As a teacher, you taught with your heart, sharing your love of books, playing games, singing/practicing yoga, and making precious arts and crafts projects for parents to cherish forever. Your students were blessed to have had you as their teacher.
	I am grateful to have known you and honored to call you my friend. Though our time together has ended, the memories from the last 30 years are forever embedded in my heart.
