It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Jayne Barletta, aged 95, who peacefully joined her beloved husband, Donald, in heaven. Together, they shared 60 years of love and companionship.
Barbara was born on March 14th, 1929 and lived a life full of love, faith, creativity, and kindness. She is survived by her loving children, Andrew and Nancie(Timothy); three grandchildren Ian(Sara), Sean(Eileen), James (Pamela); and one great-grandchild Eleanor Jayne. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Barbara was deeply devoted to her faith. She traveled on several religious pilgrimages, visiting the Holy Land and many biblically significant sites, further strengthening her spiritual connection. This devotion was a central part of her life, and it was evident in her love for others and her thoughtful, compassionate nature.
A woman of many passions, Barbara enjoyed reading, ice skating, and watercolor painting. She also found joy in camping and gardening, always appreciating the beauty of nature. A true performer at heart, Barbara was often singing. She could be found singing in the church choir at Our lady of Lourdes, sharing her joyful voice with those around her. In her children’s younger years, she delighted in putting on puppet shows for their schools, creating special memories that will be cherished forever. She was a devoted grandmother, dedicating many years of watching her three grandchildren and enjoyed seeing them thrive and grow. Instilling in them, a sense of love and caring, that they are all very appreciative for and will cherish the special time with grandma forever.
Those who knew Barbara will remember her for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and sentimental nature. She was a compassionate and loving soul, whose generosity and warmth left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Our sweet Barbara will be greatly missed but forever remembered with love by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
