D'ATTOMA, Angelo J., of Lindenhurst, went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2019. Loving husband of Marion for 67 years, and cherished father of Nick (Diane), Angelo (Deana) John (Virginia). Beloved brother of Antoinette and the late John, Joe and Lucy. Cherished grandfather to Dawn, Nicholas, John, Kristen, Angelo and Christina and Adored great grandfather of Julia, Isabella, Nicholas and James. Angelo was a construction worker and delegate, and also worked for NYC sanitation. He loved to spend time with his Family, his children, grand children and great-grand children, is what always put the biggest smile on his face. Angelo is a proud Army Veteran who was a Purple Heart Recipient, in the Korean war. He is an American hero to all as well as a hero to his beloved family. He will always be a hero and rock, who was always physically and mentally strong for his family, but was a cuddly bear to his grand children and great-grand children. His family will always keep striving to be the man, father, grand father he was. Friends and family may visit at the Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, Babylon Village, Sunday 2pm-4pm and 6:30pm-8:30pm, Monday 3pm-6pm. Funeral Mass Tuesday 9:45am OLPH Church, Lindenhurst. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
