Charlotte Perreault Richards

Beloved wife of Lloyd “Bud” Richards of 56 years. Proud mother of her children Robert (Jennifer), Tom (Tina), Anne-Louise and Allison (Ross) as well as her cherished grandchildren Ben (Angie), Caly (Eric), Danielle, Ian (Morgan), Christopher (Michaela), Michelle (Simon), René (Mylène), Alexandre and adored great grandmother to Maizie, Lucie, Evelyn, Elsie, Émile and expected baby girl Richards.

Dear sister to Anne (late Frank), Louis (late Una), Martha and Dan (Sandie) and loved by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Martine Lavoie and Louis Perreault.

Charlotte was a devoted military wife and mother that travelled extensively before settling down in Aylmer QC. She was a childcare assistant at St-Médard elementary school and office administrator at Beauchamp Funeral Home. She was an avid quilter that loved to sew, knit, garden and sing.

She was very involved in her community as a member of CWG (Catholic Women’s Guild), St-Marks Church, the Château Symmes choir, Les Gendarmes d’Aylmer Drum Corps, TOPS, Bowling and Curling Clubs. She was a loyal friend to so many.

She will forever remain a pillar of strength, an image of selflessness, a source of inspiration and an example of style and grace. Known by young and old as “Mimou”, she was devoted to her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 2nd, from 4pm to 8pm at Racine, Robert and Gauthier Beauchamp Funeral Home, 47 Denise Friend, Gatineau (Aylmer) J9H 3A8. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday May 3rd at St-Mark's Church, 160 Principale Street in Gatineau (Aylmer) J9H 3M8 at 11am.

The family wishes to express their most sincere gratitude to the caring staff (especially Karen, Lori and Cocoé) at Château Symmes in Aylmer where she resided for the last 9 years and La Maison Des Collines in Wakefield QC for their support and compassion in her final days. The family would also like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr M. Lemire for her dedication that went above and beyond. Truly her guardian angel.
