Willie Mae Williams-Burns

Willie Mae Williams-Burns was born April 3, 1949 in San Francisco California to Willie Louis Williams and Helen Toups. Known to her family as our beloved “Poochie” she will be cherished in our hearts forever.

In 1966 she married Donald Graham Hopkins Sr. in Stockton, California. From that union was born two sons Lennie Hopkins, Donald Graham Hopkins Jr., and one daughter Erica Belinda Hopkins- Harrell. The family moved to Oakland, California where Willie Mae was a dedicated wife and mother.

In 1991 she married Phillip Jack Burns in Oakland, California were they were married for 31 years. They moved to Lago Vista, Texas in 2005 were they built strong church and community ties.

Willie Mae confessed a belief in Jesus Christ at an early age and her faith was unwavering. She loved the Lord and depended on the Lord to get her through many different experiences in her life.

Willie Mae touched many lives during her time with us. She was a loving, dedicated, hardworking wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt , and friend. She enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Willie Louis Williams and Helen Toups, her siblings Lilly Jean Eatmon, Lou Helen “Mikki” Buntun, Timmy Williams, her son Donald Graham Hopkins Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband Phillip Jack Burns, her children Lennie Hopkins and Erica Hopkins-Harrell; her brother Louis Williams; her grandchildren Demetria Hopkins, Donald Graham Hopkins III, Dijon Hopkins, Kailee Harrell; and a host of family and friends who she loved and cherished.

A memorial service for Willie Mae will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at North Lake Bible Church, 3610 Lohman Ford Rd, Lago Vista, TX.
