Bill spent most of his childhood on the east coast of the United States and graduated from Easton High School in Easton, Maryland. While in high school, he participated in wrestling, football and track.
He then attended technical school in Baltimore, Maryland.
After he completed his training, he moved to Melbourne, Florida and worked for Harris Semiconductor where he met the love of his life, Donna Austin. They married in 1974. Bill was active with the company softball team, city bowling league and enjoyed poker nights with the guys.
In 1979 Bill and his family moved to Austin, Texas to take a job with Motorola, where he stayed until he retired in 2005. While at Motorola, he worked hard accomplished much and received several recognitions over the years.
While in Austin, he joined a bowling league and bowled on Thursday nights for over 30 years.
Bill is survived by wife, Donna Bernice Vereen, Austin, TX; daughters: Victoria Moody, GA; Michelle Wise, Austin; Katherine Vereen, Austin; grandchildren: Alison Wise, Austin; Macy Wise, Austin; Shaun Murphy and Family, Cedar Creek; Travis Farris, GA; Kasey Farris, GA; Tyler Farris, GA; 4 great grandchildren; Sisters: Nancy Farley and Family, Gail Stevanus and Family and Donna Kinnan and Family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mae Satchell, and by his father, William Vereen.
Bill was taken too soon at age 68 and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was always willing to lend a hand and could fix just about anything. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend.
