Wiley K Hudson, Jr., age 86, of Austin, Texas, passed away April 28, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born April 14, 1931, in Austin, Texas to Wiley K. and Nelethye Maud Hudson. A lifelong resident of Travis County, he worked as a rock mason, establishing a construction company with his brothers after serving in the army. Family and friend will remember his love of the outdoors especially deer hunting as a young man and gardening. Wiley enjoyed people, always welcoming family and friends into his home.
Wiley is predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Linda Louise, his parents and two brother, Tasker H and Edwin Neal.
He is survived by his son, Wayne Hudson of Austin, Texas, his wife Patty, grandchildren, Kimberly Brade and Russel Hudson, step grandchildren Christina Cooper, Diana Thomas, and Rey Camacho; his daughter, Kathy Stumpff of Cedar Park, Texas, grandson, Christopher Parr; his step-daughter Janice Baber of Tyler, Texas, step son in law Brian, step grandsons Grant and Avery; his step-daughter Sherrie Gill of Casa Grande, Arizona, step son in law Burke and step grandchildren, Jonathan and Sarah; one brother Raymond Stanley of Austin, Texas and his wife Peggy. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be Monday, May 1, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills. The Graveside Service will be Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Teck Cemetery, Austin, Texas.
