Wanda was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved taking care of her family and enjoyed the retirement years with her husband, Woody.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Franklin D. “Woody” Wood, parents, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. Wanda will be sadly missed by her children, Danny R. Wood and Vickie D. Curtis; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Rev. Cheryl Ann Broome officiating. Interment will follow the services at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
Honoring Wanda as pallbearers will be Tommy Morrow, Gary Lamb, Buster Lamb, Ricky Paul, Terry Morrow, and Conor Izzett.
