Larry attended schools in Morton TX, Lamesa TX, and graduated from Temple High School in 1965. He loved his elementary school days in west Texas and reminisced about those days often. Larry loved Boy Scouts and proudly earned his Eagle while in Lamesa.
Larry graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting also from UT.
He married the love of his life, Susan Thuma Miller, on July 17, 1971 in Austin TX. Last summer Larry and Susan celebrated 50 years of marriage at the beach with family. They had two sons, Christopher Michael Miller and Chad Matthew Miller.

Larry loved his family above all else. He was so proud of both Chris and Chad & loved coaching both boys especially in baseball. Even though Larry was a Longhorn, he was so proud of both Aggie sons. “Poppy” as he was lovingly called by his grandchildren retired after the arrival of his first grandchild and cherished time with all five grandchildren.
Larry loved to travel and always had a trip planned for the future. He especially loved a short get-away to Vegas.
After retiring, Larry enjoyed his greatest passion, golf. He was a member of the Temple High School golf team, and during the summers as a youth would play from sun up till sun down. In his retirement years he tried to play once a week and met so many nice people on the course. He also loved buying and selling clubs always to improve his game. In May this year he traveled to Scottsdale AZ with son Chris to play desert courses which he enjoyed so much.
