Violet Jeanette Catron, 68, of Jonesboro, Tx unexpectedly entered The Lord’s Kingdom on February 5th, 2024. She was born January 25th, 1956, the sweet baby girl of George Howard Cox and Mary Elizabeth Cox in Austin, Tx.
She is preceded in death by her husband – Vincent Alvin Catron, Father – George Howard Cox, Mother – Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie” Cox, Brothers: Howard Lee Cox, Johnny Mack Cox, Millis Eugene ‘Gene” Cox, Wayne Cox, Harvey Cox, Sisters: Katy Louise Gravis, Daisey Mae Riley.
She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Harvey & Chris Harvey, Grandsons Abel & Alex (All of Susanville, Ca. Granddaughter Halē Shannon of Corsicana, Tx. Brothers: Robert & Penny Cox of Jonesboro, Tx. JL Cox of Waco, Tx. Jack Cox of Corsicana, Tx. Sisters: Kitty Shannon of Florence, Tx. Ruthy Daniels of Corsicana, Tx. Cheryl Tignor of Rice, Tx. And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Violet married Vincent Alvin Catron on February 4th, 1983, in Travis County Tx. They welcomed their daughter Elizabeth in 1986. Her family was her life and meant the world to her (especially her grandkids), she always prioritized it over anything else. You could always find her with a Pepsi in one hand and a word search book in the other, that was when she seemed the happiest!
Violet was a one-of-a-kind soul, and those that knew her loved her dearly. Her passing leaves an unfillable void in the hearts and lives of her surviving family.
Cremation services are being handled by Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue Austin, TX 78704. Visitation will be on Sunday February 11th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
