Victoria (Vicky) Lawson went home to be with the lord on September 20, 2021 in Austin, Tx. She attended Melvindale High School and later graduated from University of Detroit where she received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1975. She was a helpful hand to various medical clinics and hospitals while she specialized in ICU nursing upon her retirement. She played a key role in establishing the Mother's Milk Bank in Austin.
She had a contagious smile that could light up a room and found pleasure in forming close friendships with her surrounding peers. She loved to travel, and enjoyed talking about her Cherokee heritage memories as a child. She was preceded in death by her parents and leaves behind her charming exotic bird, Shiloh, who brought her much joy and she adored listening to songs with him daily. She will be greatly missed by all and touched the hearts of many with her kind generosity to others. A special thank you goes out to numerous caretakers, Magnolia Hospice, and local friends who helped her make her journey home with the Lord. In lieu of flowers please consider giving donations to American Federation of Aviculture attention: JC Aviary. A private memorial will be held for her at a later date.
