Victor Flores Reyna, age 88, of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully at home with his family on October 5, 2009. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Dad retired from IRS, GSA Maintenance after 26 years of service. He loved gardening. Later in life, dad and mom really enjoyed dancing. He was caring and close to all of his family. Dad accepted Christ in his life. Preceded in death by his wife, Gumesinda Santos and son-in-law, Pascual "Tony" Moreno. Victor Reyna is survived by his daughters, Lupe Moreno, Janie Zapata and husband Frank Zapata, Rosalinda Soto and Guadalupe C. Garcia; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. The family expresses a special thanks to Horalia Muñoz, a loving caregiver and also to Angel Heart Hospice for their support and care. Serving as pallbearers will be his great-grandson, Renay Zapata; grandsons, Daniel Soto, Armando Villarreal, Victor Villarreal, Ricky Villarreal, Ishmael Moreno. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:30 pm Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
