Tommy Rankin Bicknell born February 23 1932, in San Angelo, TX, quietly passed at the age of 81 on November 22 2013, in his home in Lake Travis with his wife and son by his side. Tommy is survived by his wife, Inette Bicknell of Austin Texas and his son and daughter-in-law Teddie Thomas and Angela Marie Bicknell of Austin Texas and Canton, Ohio, grandchildren, Brendon, Anthony and Joshua, and his sister Mattie Hough of Odessa Texas.
Tommy spent his last days surrounded by his loving family and a lifetime of friends, thankful of time spent with him and all wishing him a peaceful journey and sharing with him how he had touched each of their lives in such profound and meaningful ways. Tommy was an accomplished engineer and gifted in his field as a teacher and instructor. His talent enabled him to dedicate most of his life to traveling with his family and experiencing places and things most people only dream of. Tommy built a successful business of his own that was considered by most, to be a true model of success, built on a reputation of fairness, professionalism and expertise.
Tommy was a loving, doting, respectful and compassionate husband and an inspiring, supportive, nurturing and attentive father. Tommy had an indomitable zest for life, enduring positive spirit, easy going personality and a sense of humor that lit up a room, he was unique to this world and it was a brighter and more inviting place because of him.
A graveside service will be on Tuesday, November 26 at 3:00pm at White Rock Cemetery on Highway 71 and Hamilton Pool Road, all friends and family are invited to attend.
