Tommie C. Tarvin Tommie C. Tarvin, 68, of Austin, died on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. He was born on June 2, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Lonnie and Naomi Tarvin. Tommie served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He worked for the U.S. Postal service retiring after 20 years of service. Tommie loved music, arts, crafts and serving his community. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Peggy Tarvin; children, Richard Tarvin, Michael Tarvin, Tommie Tarvin, Jr., and wife Connie, Karl Tarvin, Eke Wayne Tarvin and wife Antonia, Diann Seffens and husband Clay, Gwen Lester, Kim Hassell, Daniel Gray and wife Misty; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas Tarvin; sisters Laura Walker, Evelyn Perez, Margaret Ann Sommers and Shirley Howard. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2008 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
