Tommie is survived by her devoted husband, Jesse A Ortegon, Sr. of Austin, TX, her three daughters, Amy Cervantez and her husband Bobby of Bastrop, TX, daughter, Diane Sorrells and her husband Tony of Buda, TX, daughter, Tina Lopez and her husband Michael of Austin, TX; son, Gregory Cadena of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Nicoli Cervantez and his wife Patricia, children, Jeremy, Max, Norah, Adelina of Bastrop, TX, Estevan Cervantez and his wife Amanda, children, Hailey, Payton, Amberlynn and Penni of Bastrop, TX, Tomas Cervantez and fiancée Jennifer of Bastrop, TX, Cory Sorrells and wife Amanda, child, Zoey of McDade,TX, Mark Ramirez, child, Angel of Austin,TX, Sara Ramirez and Anthony Ramirez of Austin, TX; siblings, Alfredo Luna, Sr. and wife Elva of Austin, TX, Mary Yolanda Vallejo and husband Santiago of Austin, TX, Gloria Gonzalez and late husband Ignacio of San Antonio, TX, Corine Rocha and husband Ruben of Austin, TX, Cecelia Barcena and husband Manuel of Austin, TX, Terry Luna of Austin, TX, John Luna and wife Liz of Buda, TX; numerous nieces and nephews from Austin, San Antonio and the surrounding area.

Tommie worked as a Medical Assistant at the Zaragosa Community Clinic and Dr. Lozano, OB/GYN office in Austin, TX. She loved to work with people and loved the medical field. She graduated top of her class with honors at Southern Careers Institute in Austin, TX. She enjoyed beading, selling AVON, her Tuesday Bible Study and prayer time with the ladies at her church, her time with her great grandchildren. A favorite past time for her was to sit outside and watch the hummingbirds come to the feeder and she loved the flowers that her husband grew in the garden. Her biggest and most proud accomplishments in life were her children. She was a protective, loving and giving mother. She always put the needs of others before hers. She loved to help people in their time of need. She will always be remembered for her heart to serve and give. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

The family wants to thank friends and family who took time to visit while Tommie was ill. Thank you to the care staff, nurses and doctors who were attentive to her medical needs.

Funeral arrangements will be at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10:30 am at Trinity Abundant Life Church located at 412 Cumberland Road, Austin, Tx.

No Burial, Cremation will be done per Tommie's request.

A private memorial will be at a later date. A meal will be served at Trinity following the closing of the service.
