Tina Lenatte Mize

Tina was born to Robert and Phyllis Mize on February 3, 1959, in Richmond, Indiana. She was the eldest of eight children. Tina was loved and cared for by her family until she departed this life on July 17, 2024.

Tina was such a loving caring person. In her younger years she helped care for her siblings, relatives, and others. Whether young or old that’s something she just enjoyed doing. Caring for others is how she learned her way in the kitchen. Tina could make a mean homemade banana pudding and hot water cornbread. Tina could also hold a note and loved to sing, dance, joke around, and play spades.

Tina accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age at Shiloh Baptist Church in Richmond, Indiana. She attended Nicholson Elementary School and Test Intermediate School. She later moved to Texas in 1976.

She worked at Travis State School in Austin, Tx for many years until they closed in 1995. She later went into home health care where she retired.

She was preceded in death by Her Parents: Robert and Phyllis Mize. One sister: Julia Mize and Nephew: Treyvon King.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Her daughter: Tosha Mize, Her son: Larry Lockhart II, Four grandchildren: Quincy Reese II (Josie), Quincy Mize III, Taijahnay Reese and Donico Lockhart. Four great grandchildren: Quincy Reese IV, Kashton Reese, Bartholomew Reese, and Peighton Reese. Sisters: Pamela Mize, Mary Mize-Gray (Paul), Robin Mize and Sonia Vanlandingham. Brothers: Robert Mize, Tony Mize, Doug Mize and Craige Mize. Two special friends: Larry Lockhart and Mary Goss; and a Host of Nieces and Nephews.
