Tien Quoc Vu

John Tien Vu Quoc, age 57, of Austin, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was born on September 11, 1965 in Saigon. His family crossed the Pacific Ocean by boat to the US in 1981 after the Vietnamese Communists took over the Republic of Vietnam in 1975.

John attended high school and Wayne State University, Michigan, and received his BS in Electrical Engineering. John worked for Mazda Company and Motorola Company in Chicago for 20 years, then founded and chaired TTK Wireless Communications and VUMASCO LLC.

Tien is the fifth child in a family consisting of nine brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his mother, Lan Thi Tran; wife, Nancy Tran; son, Mathew Justin Vu, brothers, Vu Quoc Hung, Vu Quoc Dung, Vu Quoc Cuong, Vu Quoc Thinh and wife, Vu Quoc Thanh and wife, Vu Quoc Dat;

sisters, To Nga Thi Vu and To Oanh Thi Vu and husband; nephews, Cody, Tommy, Danny, Johnny, Clinton; nieces, Nhie, Kimberly, Shayla, and Tracy.

A visitation for John Tien will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
