Our sincere condolances to you, Mary Francis, and all of your family on the occasion of the death of your husband.    It seems like a long time ago when so many of us "regulars" were all together at Spicewood.  I am now semi-retired and work  half-time at Cedar Valley Middle School in RRISD as the coordinator of their 504 program, conduct group counseling, and translate Spanish/English.  Our son, Mark, married a Sp. Ed. teacher, works as a computer person at a RRISD elementary school, and had his first child 6 months ago.



Mary Frances -  I taught with you at Middle School in the Library before I moved over to the Pond Springs Library. I was so sorry to hear of you loss and pray for you and yours.



When I came to work at TSTA in 1974, Tom was there...working hard every day and no one knew more about TSTA and it's workings than Tom.  Many times someone would say, "ask Tom, he knows" whenever I wanted the answer to some question.  He was a kind a gentle man and very patient with this young and unknowing staffer. To the Llewellyn family,  I worked with Tom at TSTA from 1973 until retirement. Tom's gentleness, kindness, humor and courage will always be remembered.     His shoes at TSTA were never filled.



May God go with Tom.  The wonderful years we had together when he was at TSTA were memorable.  He always had a smile on his face.  I wish him well on his journey to his heavenly home.  He will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with Mary Helen and his family.



Our prayers and sincere sympathies are with you at this difficult time.  We all have such fond memories of ole TomTom.



Dear Mary Frances,    Was so sorry to hear about Tom.  I know we have lost touch over the years, but still fondly remember the years you and I worked together. Seeing the names Tommy and Timmy certainly brought back memories.  Hard to think of them not as the small children they were in the 70's.  Please accept Bill and my condolonces. Dear Mary Frances:    I was saddend to hear today, from Paul Haupt, of Tom's passing.  I have such vivid memories of our times working together in preparation for the Texas Delegation at NEA.  Tom became such a valued friend and colleague.  When I think of so many events and activities of importance that we worked on for TSTA I am reminded of how blessed the organization and its members were to have Tom as their loyal advocate.  A true friend and a very "gentle" man in all ways.  We have lost a kind friend and comrade.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers and a smiling memory of Tom in my heart. To the family of Thomas Llewellyn,    In 1965 I was a 12 year old 7th grader at Cullen Jr. High in Houston, Texas. At the time, I had very little interest in school until I met Mr. Llewellyn in 7th grade history. He literally changed my academic world.    I recall his lectures on the battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto. He used the black-board to draw battle lines and he knew the units and their commanders. He explained the reasons for their losses and victories. To hear his lectures was to be on those battlefields. He made me eager to attend each day because his classes were like an action movie. He taught outside the books.    Some teachers can spend a whole lifetime in the classroom and never really reach their students. Mr. Llewellyn reached us and in my case he lit the fuse in my academic world. I went on to earn several college degrees and I know he had much to do with that.    To his family I offer my heart-felt condolences and to him, my prayers. He was a wonderful teacher and I will never forget him.    Sincerely,    Lance Idol



Mary Frances I am so sorry for your lose. I worked with Tom from 1969 until his retirement. We all loved him as much as he loved TSTA. He will be miss greatly.
