Thelma Lee Kent

She was one of the original Rosy the Riveters during WWII and helped build B17 Bombers. Her sweet and gentle soul joins her beloved husband of over 60 years, James W. Kent, in Heaven, along with her sisters Bessie Roach and LaVelle Ingle.

Mourning her passing but celebrating her life are her son, Jim Kent; daughter Sherry Burgeson and husband, Jim; grandson, Michael Burgeson; brother, Glenn Walker and wife, Pat; brother-in-law, Jack Dugan and wife, Andrianna; sister-in-law, Evelyn Sommers and husband, John and many other friends and relatives.

She was a kind and loving person who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. God picked a beautiful flower for his garden!

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78479, 512-892-1172.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
