Susan Frances Milder, age 67, longtime resident of the Austin area, passed away on August 16, 2011. She was born May 11, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee and adopted that November by Herbert and Anne (Markowitz) Berg in Brooklyn, New York. She met Allan Milder in 1959 and they were married on January 29, 1966 in Queens, NY.
Sue graduated from Madison High School in Brooklyn, Class of 1962. She worked as a secretary, recruiter and legal assistant during her career. She was a member of O.R.T., C.A.P.A., and Hadassah. She was also a member of Congregation Agudas Achim, Temple Beth Shalom and Congregation Havurah Shalom of Sun City. One of her most treasured achievements was a hole-in-one, made at Balcones Country Club in 1991. Sue and Allan retired to Georgetown in 2007.
Her heart always guided her towards what was best for her family and friends. She never let her illness dictate how she lived her life.
Sue is survived by her husband, Allan; daughter, Robyn Milder of Austin; son, Scott Milder and his wife Leslie of Rockwall and her grandchildren, Thomas, Grace and Mandy; and siblings, Elizabeth Anderson, James Parks, Faye Holder, Wayne Parks, Thomas Parks, Claude Parks and Wallace Parks.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
