Speedy N. Phillips, 89 of Austin died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the VA Home in Temple. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Phillips. Survived by his daughter, Loraine Blackerby and husband James; son, Steve Phillips and wife Candace; his beloved five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, April 13, 2009 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at 1 p.m., both at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress, Austin. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery with full Military Honors.
