Our beloved Silas was called to his heavenly home to join our Lord on Monday July 1. He leaves behind a huge void in our hearts that will never be filled. Silas was one of a kind who lived his life the way he wished. He had a good heart and was willing to help the homeless, the stranger, any stray animal he saw on the streets as he would run to get water and food for the animals.
Life was not easy for Silas but he took one day at a time, never complaining about it. He had a unique sense in that he could sometimes know what you were thinking before you spoke. His big heart and love for his family was always evident despite his personal struggles. He lived his short life to the fullest and enjoyed rap music (he could rap very well), cooking and all kinds of snacks.
Silas is survived by his mom, Odilia (Dee) Sanchez (Lino Martinez Jr), his dad Edward Saldana, his sisters, Sedreana Saldana (Grady Foshee) and Sejena Saldana Ramirez (Juan Ramirez), his nephews Austin Saldana-Senn and Jensen Javier Ramirez and his niece Gianna Elvera Ramirez; his aunts Sylvia Sanchez, Nancy Adami, Elizabeth Saldana, and Susan Saldana, his uncle's John Sanchez, and Johnny, Joe and Jesse Saldana. He had numerous cousins that he also loved dearly. He also leaves behind his beloved cats, Odie and Rascal.
Silas had his strong faith and believed in Jesus Christ and would pray wherever he went; knowing one day he would go home to join his beloved grandparents, Abdon & Vera Sanchez (“Mamo and Popo”) who loved him dearly.
May perpetual light shine upon him and may the angels welcome him home for all eternity! Rest easy my Si-Si; you are now pain free and know that you were loved so very much…
