Sharon was born the fourth child of Harvey W. and Annie Leona New. She grew up with five brothers and sisters: LaVelle, Mark, Dwaine, Travis and Rick. Sharon lived between southern Austin and Buda most of her life. Throughout her adult life. she drove a school bus for Hays ISD but mostly Austin ISD. During her many years at Austin ISD, she made lifelong friends.
Sharon loved going to church, worshiping the Lord with music, and visiting with family and friends. She especially enjoyed playing games, such as cards, dominoes and bingo. Although she had a knack for winning most the time, she would always get so excited and let out a cheer when the game was going her way. She loved music, particularly if it was her brothers playing together at a family gathering. If it had a upbeat tempo you could find her dancing along if she got a chance.
Throughout the years Sharon has always always been most proud of her children and grand children. She loved her grand babies or any baby in the vicinity. You only had to suggest you needed help with your baby and she'd be ready to change diapers or anything to help out.
We will all miss her bright smiles and warm hugs. Though the book of Sharon is at a physical end, I know she would want to be sure we all had a few laughs and a lot of fun along the way.
