Sandra Gately

Sandy retired after working many years at Eye Physicians of Austin (EPA) as an Ophthalmologic Surgical Assistant. Doctors Rock and Thorne could always rely on her excellent skills and her caring and giving interactions with her patients. Sandy will be remembered as generous with, and supportive of, both her friends and patients.

She was a terrific athlete and excelled at softball and golf. While attending Unity Church of Austin, she helped to form a softball team called the Unity Wings.

Always an avid reader, she read voraciously, but especially liked Science Fiction.

Sandra was the beloved sister of Barbara, Timothy and Diane Gately. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on March 23, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin.
