Samuel was born March 8, 1965 to Samuel Acosta, Sr and Consuelo (née Herrera) Acosta. After graduating from John H. Reagan High School in 1985 Samuel went on to study music at East Texas Baptist University.
After college Samuel pursued a career as a salesman in the christian music industry. While his job required him to travel all over the country he remained close to his family, and always made it home for the holidays. He returned home to Austin in 2009 and worked in jobs for both the State of Texas and the City of Austin.
Samuel was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and New York Yankees throughout the year. He was also an active and devoted member of his church and a gifted trumpet player that participated in many ensembles throughout his lifetime.
While Samuel may be gone he will never be forgotten. His love, joy, sense of humor and infectious laugh will remain in our hearts forever.
