Ruby Lee Harrison

Ruby Lee Harrison was born to Ernest and Beulah Harrison on September 7, 1943. Ruby confessed Christ in 1952 at the early age of nine years when she was a member of the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.

Later, Ruby was united to Clarence Benson of Comfort, Texas, and to this union were born three beautiful children whom they dearly love: Nathan E. Benson, Augusta R. Benson, and Cynthia M. Benson-Skeins.

Ruby retired after 33 years of dedicated service to Daughters of Charity Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

Ruby Benson was called to her heavenly home on Friday, September 28, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents and middle son, Augusta Ray Benson. Ruby was a beloved mother, companion, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

In addition to her son and daughter, Ruby leaves to cherish her memory six grandchildren: Jermaine Rodriguez, Coty Benson, Trina Rodriguez, Derrick Shakesnyder, Christopher Rodriguez, and Tierra Adams, and 18 great grandchildren.

Ruby also leaves to celebrate her home-going: one brother and four sisters: Robert Harrison, Geraldine Harrison, Earnestine McDaniel, Gloria McKay, Barbara Baldwin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
