Rosalee Clearman passed from glory to glory, late Monday evening in Austin, Texas. Surrounded by her family, she took her final breath as her Lord and Savior called her home. Preceded by her parents, Charles and Lina Blevins, and survived by her husband, Melvin, their three children, six grandchildren, and 13 great grand children, Rosalee was known as a wife, a mother, and a granny, but most of all as a woman who loved to give.
Rosalee’s mother was a hard-working business woman, and her father, a circuit riding preacher. Although she swore she’d never follow suit, Rosalee too married a preacher. Over the course of 70 years, Melvin and Rosalee built a life together, and at the end of it all, what Rosalee was most proud of was the family God had blessed her with. Rosalee was also a successful business owner. Founded in 1989, her magazine subscription service grew to be a wild success due to her commitment to her customers, and her dedicated team. She worked full-time, as the leader of the business, until weeks before she passed.
What Rosalee loved most about her business was not what it did for her, but what it allowed her to give, and give in abundance. She was the embodiment of selflessness, generosity, and joy.
Rosalee’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 17th, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Christian Life Church in Austin, TX. Visitation 5-7pm Friday, June 16 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar in Austin.
