Ronald Carlyle Dyer passed away at 7:17pm, February 15, 2017 at Christopher House after surviving a disabling condition for two decades. He was preceded in death by his father Harry and younger brother Roger, mother Louise and nephew Chad Dyer.
Ron was educated at Bowling Green State University, Youngtown State University and the University of Toledo where he was an instructor in Real Estate Law.
He was most recently employed by the State of Texas as a Specification Specialist and Purchasing Agent for Motor Vehicles. These were some of the most satisfying years of his life.
He was a 32nd Master Mason; a member of University Lodge, A.F. & A.M., Austin Scottish Rite Bodies and Ben-Hur Shrine. He held a lifetime membership in the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation.
He leaves to mourn his memory, his life partner and soul-mate, Micheal H. Ross, three nieces and one nephew, his sister-in-law Betsy Kemper, and three cousins. He also leaves wonderful friends, Richard Workman, John Bennet and the Rev. Matthew Seddon, Katherine Mayhew and Doris Cook.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am, March 11, 2017 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 11201 Parkfield at Braker Lane. Where he was a member. His ashes will be interred at the Church’s Columbarium at a later date.
The Dyer family would like to thank Dr. Kenneth Mitchell, Laura Guerrero, Micheal Schindel, and James Evans, together with Dorothy Kraemer, R.N. and loving Grace for their excellent care.
In lieu of flowers, Ron’s wish was that a memorial contribution be made to the Building Fund at St. John’s Episcopal Church or the charity of your choice.
