Ronnie was born on March 12th, 1937, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Frank and Mary Bucher, he was the first of two children. He graduated from Austin High school in 1955 and went to the University of Texas for one year majoring in history before he married his beloved wife, Pasty Rae Bucher, in 1956. They were married for 64 years before Patsy’s passing in 2021. After they married, Ronnie started a career in the restaurant business with his stepdad Frank Hughes in Austin, Texas. He later joined a Texas based trucking business as a pickup & delivery driver. Later in his career, he went to work for a clinical pathology company in Austin as pickup driver before retiring in 2005. He volunteered at St. David’s South Hospital for 14 years. He enjoyed people with a great sense of humor, and they always enjoyed his own witty and dry sense of humor and wonderful stories that he often told. He made friends easily, and people seemed to gravitate to him.
Ronnie was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. Always a part of family gatherings, he enjoyed talking to his grandkids, nieces, and nephews and laughing, telling stories and jokes. He loved watching football, especially the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys.

The family would also like to thank the hospital staff and all his physician’s attending to him during his final days at St. David’s South hospital. The wonderful care and attention that they gave Ronnie came as a much needed comfort to his family.
