The burial will be held at 1:45 pm on March 25, 2019 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzback Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78209. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Cook Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Austin, Texas.
Rogiero was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 1, 1971. He completed his elementary education and went on to graduate from Chico High School in Chico, Texas. Upon graduation he continued his education at Austin Community College, in Austin, Texas. Rogiero enlisted in the United States Armed Forces as a Marine in 1992 and served honorably through 1998. During that time he served in Somalia as a Field Radio Operator and as a PLRS Master Station Operator.
While serving as a Marine, he received a Rifle Expert Badge, a Pistol Expert Badge, a National Defense Service Medal, a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, a Good Conduct Medal, a Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, a Certificate of Commendation, a Letter of Appreciation, and a Joint Meritorious Unit Award. Rogiero was very proud of serving his country as a Marine.
Rogiero was married for twelve years and during this time, fathered two children. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, he had a keen ear for and enjoyed listening to music, and was an avid sports fan, probably because he played many sports while in high school.
Rogiero is lovingly remembered and survived by his parents, Raymundo and Martha Galindo; his two children, Araliza Galindo and Michael Galindo; the mother of his children, Maria Cuevas; his three siblings, Martha Vila, Raymundo Galindo, and Azucena Garcia; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends.
