Roger Quincy Miller

He recently relocated to Austin after living in Denton, Texas for 31 years. Roger graduated from Murphy High School in Atlanta and attended Georgia State University. He married Nancy Powell in 1960. Together they had four children, Paige Balenger, Bruce Miller and Kelli Pesses of Austin, Texas and Angela Paton of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Roger was very proud of his five grandchildren, Robbie Balenger, Jamie and Monica Paton and Brooke and Gage Pesses.

Roger was semi-retired, but still active with his sales and marketing company, Riss Miller Marketing. He also worked as a consultant for decorative accessory manufacturing companies around the world.

Roger was a world traveler and epicurean who loved to share his experiences with friends and family. He enjoyed golf, cooking and a good debate.

Because Roger loved animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in his name to the Humane Society. Donations can also be made to the American Heart Association.

The family will hold a private service next week in celebration of his life and his love of Texas.
