He is preceded by his wife, Delia Milian Ramos and his parents Jose Manuel Ramos and Eloina Diaz. He is survived by his daughter, Alina Ramos (Robert Wasmuth); granddaughter, Marissa Wasmuth and extended family members in Florida, Spain and Brazil.
He had fond memories of his childhood in the coastal town of Santa Cruz, Cuba living with his extended family. There he developed a love for the sea and for fishing.
He graduated from the University of Havana as an electrical engineer. He loved his work because it required precision and it fit his personality; he worked well into his 70's.
He married the love of his life, Delia in 1960 and they cared for each other until her death. He survived great difficulties in Cuba and immigrated to the US for political and religious freedoms. He instilled in his family to aim high and work for the good of others. He was a charismatic person, a great conversationist and treated all people he met with respect. His strong Christian faith guided him through the most difficult times in his life until the end.
The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:30 pm at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home 5416 Parkcrest Drive Austin, Tx. Service starting at 3:30 pm.
Burial will be held after funeral service at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Dr, Austin, Tx.
