Robert Lee Schoenfeld was born in Georgetown, Texas on August 31, 1956. He moved to Austin where he attended O' Henry Jr. High School and spent his childhood in west Austin where also attended Austin High School. He met his wife, Maria, had two children, Justin and Chris. As a young man he began working as house framer and roofer and would later come to master the craft of carpentry, later he ran his own contracting business for several years. His boys and fishing were his passion and anyone who met him knew he had a kind heart and had a sense of humor that only those close to him would get. He relocated from Austin to Leander where he lived for many years on the lake and hill country. He would go to build his own house as a one man crew. He moved to Rockport, Texas to be near his son, Justin and enjoyed many days of fishing and sunsets.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Schoenfeld; mother, Catherine Schoenfeld Bruce; sister, Mary Faubion and nephew, Michael Mims Jr.
Lee is survived by his sons, Justin Schoenfeld, Chris Schoenfeld; grandsons, Cameron and Dylan Schoenfeld; siblings, Nancy Meyer, Leana Schoenfeld, Bettye Stockton, Evelyn Davis and John Schoenfeld.
