Brother Robert Jefferson Hampton CSC, the son of Mundell R. Hampton and Lillian Davis Hampton, was born on July 2, 1923 in Ogden, Utah. He entered the Brothers of Holy Cross on August 15, 1946. He served in the finance offices for the Brothers, as principal of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California and as headmaster of The Holy Cross School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was Director of Administrative Services at Covenant House in Hollywood, California. Brother Robert died on September 19, 2013 at the Brother Vincent Pieau Residence in Austin, Texas.
There will be a Memorial Service followed by the Mass of Christian Burial in the Chapel of Br. Vincent Pieau Residence on Monday, September 23 at 10:30 am. Brother Robert will be buried at Assumption Cemetery in Austin, Texas.
