Robert was born on May 15, 1932 in Kalispell, Montana, the son of Raymond Bruce Curtis and Lydia Lewella (Eichelberger) Curtis.
Robert was a veteran serving 28 years in the United States Air Force until his retirement as Chief Master Sergeant and was recipient of many decorations. He served in Germany, French Morocco, and Sheppard AFB in Texas, Korea, and Hawaii and then returned to Texas serving at Bergstrom AFB and Randolph AFB until his retirement in 1978.
After retirement, he attended Southwest Texas State University graduating with Bachelors (Honors) and Masters Degrees. He began working at Austin’s IRS until his retirement in 1995.
Robert was an Ordained Deacon in the Baptist Church. His Hobbies were golf, working in the yard, and watching his Spurs, golf tournaments, and Ranger baseball for long hours.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert Curtis and Brent Curtis; sister, Patricia Marie Cummings; and brother, Ronald J. Curtis.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 62 ½ years, Beverly; beloved son, Bryan; daughter-in-law, Terri Curtis; brothers, Donald Curtis (Sandra) and Clifford Curtis; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, May 29, 2015 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 30, 2015 with Dr. Ken Baldwin officiating at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
