Robert (Bob) Frederick Park

He was a graduate of Travis High School, class of 1956 and served 12 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Onion Creek Lodge #220 and Ben Hur Shriners in Austin, Texas.

Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Willine Dobson Park; son, Fred Park and wife, Stephanie of Buda; daughters, Janie Spector and husband, Jason of Austin, and Renee Wall and husband, Gary of Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren, Brandi and Troy Wall, and Shanon Park; nephew, Leroy Ross and wife, Carla of Austin and their children, Landon, Cassie, Cody, Ali, and Trey Ross. Bob is also survived by seven brothers and two sisters; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Honoring Bob as pallbearers will be Landon Ross, Cody Ross, Trey Ross, Howard Park, Jr., Phillip Park, Arthur Puckett, Troy Wall, and Michael Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 2, 2010 in the sanctuary of Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4600 Manchaca Road, where Pastor Jack Burton will officiate. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in honor of Bob to the Woodlawn Baptist Church Senior Ministry or to the Ben Hur Shriners “Sneaker” Fund, 7811 Rockwood Lane, Austin, Texas 78757.
