Robby Thaxton Bechtol, a loving father, a way-cool brother, and a devoted son, passed peacefully on January 26, 2015 in Austin, TX at the age of 64.
Robby was born in Austin on June 14, 1950 to Hub and Elizabeth "Umpy" Bechtol and was the second of five children in the Bechtol family. He was a graduate of Austin High School where he played all sports including baseball, football and his true passion, golf. In his Adult life he developed a true love of the arts, which led to a life-long talent as a master wood craftsman.
He is survived by his Mother, Umpy Bechtol; his daughters, Anna Bechtol and Marta Bechtol; his brothers and sister, Roy Bechtol, Cindy Barron, Gary Bechtol, Jim Bechtol; and the rest of his loving family. His father, Hub Bechtol, precedes him in death.
He will be missed by all those who loved him.
A celebration of his life will be held at The Roost, 2113 Wells Branch Pkwy, Austin, Texas on Monday Feb 2nd at 1pm.
