Rita M. Ramirez

Rita M. Ramirez, age 84, of Manchaca, Texas passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009. She was born on May 22, 1925 to Eluterio and Venita Lejos Mata in Mumford, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan R. Ramirez; son, Cruz Ramirez. Rita is survived by her sister, Juanita Pesina; daughters, Julia Hidrogo and husband John, Petra Ramirez, Josephine Velasquez and husband Frank, Dominga Coolidge and husband Robert, Mary Castro and husband Richard, Angelina Ramirez, Rachel Pompey and husband Arnold; sons, Leon Ramirez, Hilario Ramirez and wife Mary, Gonzalo Ramirez and wife Inez, Ben Ramirez and wife Delia, Paul Ramirez; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Ramirez, Hilario Ramirez, Paul Ramirez, Robert Coolidge, John Hidrogo, and Frank Velasquez. Special Thanks to close family friend, Mary (Nana) Martinez for being there for the family during this difficult time, and to Mary H. Ramirez (daughter-in-law) for the special care she provided the last two years. The Ramirez Family is very grateful to the staff at Christopher House for the special care for their mother. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish South. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Dolores Catholic Church with Reverend Albert Ruiz officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
