Rita had a unique sense of humor which was one of her most defining traits, she could make anyone laugh or smile and could brighten a total strangers day. She was an avid sports fan; her favorite teams included the Washington Redskins and Duke Blue Devils.
Rita attended her children’s sports activities always cheering them on. She taught her daughter to throw a baseball, always actively participating in their everyday life.
She was an optimist at heart, always a happy person, looking for the best in people or the brighter side to things even when things seemed hopeless.
She enjoyed watching movies and music, especially new techno music; she had an eclectic taste that was so much fun for everyone. She loved Madonna, The Lord of the Rings and the Dark Knight.
Rita enjoyed traveling and visiting new places, such as Las Vegas with her son and New York City with both of her children.
Rita’s passing has left a void in our heart. She leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Raymond Guerrero; son, Jonathan Guerrero; daughter, Sara Guerrero; sisters, Mary Peruzzi, Paula Slingluff and husband, John and their four daughters and her oldest sister, Kathy; and numerous grandnieces, grandnephews and grandpets.
Memorial services will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2013 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Road.
