Richard Jerry Wood Richard Jerry Wood, 77, of Lakeway, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7th, 2004. He was born on June 9, 1926 to Ralph and Carrie Wood in Oneida, Kansas. Jerry served his country in the Navy during World War II. He retired as a Wholesale Manager after 37 years with Mobil Oil. He was an active participant of the Lakeway Church, the Hills Homeowners Association, and the LYCC where he held numerous offices. He was also a member of the Hills Golf Association, the Lakeway Golf Association, Sing Along, the Breakfast Club and he delivered Meals on Wheels. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Clare; daughters, Marsha Boyer and husband, David of Kansas City, Linda Tharpe and husband, Robert of Atlanta, Carolyn Kenly and husband, Geff of Chicago; son Rich Wood of Chicago; grandchildren Katie Boyer of Dallas, Betsy Boyer of Kansas City, Greg, Kevin, Tyler and Kyle Kenly of Chicago, Michael Wood of Chicago; sister, Janeth Weber and husband, Louis of Kansas City and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Austin. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at Lakeway Church in Lakeway with a private burial to follow.
