Richard "Dick" Sunbury, CMSgt USAF, age 83, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017. He was born on March 4, 1934 to James and Isabel Sunbury in Berlin, NH. In 1952, he graduated from Naugatuck, CT High School. Dick enlisted into the US Air Force, and served his country for 25 years honorably and was the recipient of numerous medals, awards and recognitions. He took pride in being a US Air Force Chief Master Sergeant.
Dick married his wife, Anna Mae Kozich on October 9, 1954. They had three children, Burton, Karen and Keith; and a grandson, Burton Jr. He received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Education from Southwest Texas University. Dick taught Industrial Electronics in the Austin Independent School District for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Burton and Kenneth; and son, Burton.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, located at 2620 South Congress. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, Oct. 4th in the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors will be at 1:45 pm on Thursday, Oct. 5th at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio
