Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Sue Bernal, his son Dean and wife Brenda Bernal (Austin), grandchildren Clark Bernal (Dallas) and Camille Bernal (Oklahoma City), siblings Mary Castillo (San Antonio), Charles Bernal (Austin), Red Bernal (Kingwood), Benny Bernal (Kentucky) and several nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be held at nine o’clock in morning followed by a Funeral Mass at ten o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 23rd of December 2014, at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive, Austin, TX under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
