Our beloved Rene Christopher Provencio Jr. departed from this world and ascended to his next journey on November 24, 2022 at the young age of 20. He lived with his best friend Dane Harshaw at the time. Rene was born on December 18, 2001 in El Paso, Texas.
Nae Nae was the most beautiful soul who touched all the lives that he encountered. He was incredibly kind, loving, and caring. Rene was always there for anyone who needed him. As one of his close friends said it best, Rene did not have an ounce of hate in his heart. For being so masculine he still loved Romcom movies and wrote poetry as well.
Nae had a very adventurous spirit. He loved sports and the outdoors. He was good at everything he put his mind to like playing football, soccer, skateboarding, and snowboarding. Nae had never played soccer in his life and he still made the varsity team at Glenn High School. Always striving to do his best he was named most improved player on the team. He always professed that he was the best at everything, and he continuously claimed that he was always everyone’s favorite person. He also loved hiking, camping, stargazing, and swimming. He loved high skyline views especially from the top of a mountain. His favorite treat was ice cream and even though he always said he wanted to stay away from sugar he forever went straight to the sweets.
Rene is survived by his parents, Rene and Jessica Provencio, his siblings Erin Provencio, Dominic Hudson, Tristen Provencio, Brianna Geurin, Jayden Provencio, and Sarah Provencio, his Grandparents Rosa Provencio, Kevin and Sharian Basey, James and Lisa Hudson, his Aunts and Uncles Roger and Loraine Provencio, Rosanne and Ralph Gomez, Jeremy Hudson, his cousins Dominique Provencio, Ralphie Gomez, Monik Vargas, Stephanie and Isaiah Rios, Desiree Gomez, Amy Hudson, Sebastian Hudson, Tyler Hudson, and a multitude of friends that Nae considered family.
A memorial service in Rene’s honor will be held on December 11, 2022 at Cook Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home. Officiated by Bob Hudson, Rene’s great uncle. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of his service 1:00 pm.
